Save the Date: Spring Arts Month - April 2021

Arts Walk in Olympia is a chance to come together as a community twice a year, to celebrate the fantastic arts and culture our community has to offer. We're excited to share that we're adapting our spring event to make it possible for this tradition to continue.

Similar to the fall, instead of a two-day, large-scale event, we are shifting to an April Arts Month for 2021. Throughout the month, we will highlight in-person displays of art, as well as virtual programs and activities presented by participating locations and artists.

Keeping with the current CDC and State guidelines, limited in-person performances and gatherings are currently allowed in Thurston County and can be included as part of Arts Month. 

Arts Walk programs and activities can include, but are not limited to:

• Works of art on display indoors and outdoors 
• Virtual performances & events
• In person performances & events that meet state guidelines*
• Workshops and programs that meet state guidelines*
• Film programs that meet state guidelines*
• Take-out art activities
• Highlighting recently installed murals and public art

* As of 2/23 social distanced in person events & activities up to 25% capacity or 200 people which ever is less are allowed. This includes performances. Visit Thurston County Public Health and Social Services for most up to date Guidelines. 

• Starting March 1 we will be accepting applications from local artists, organizations, businesses and groups that would like to participate in Arts Month. The April Arts Month program will be open to locations throughout Olympia.
• All activities must meet local and state guidelines, and organizations must provide a social distancing plan for their site or activity.
• To support our creative community, registration fees will be pay what you choose starting at $5. 
• Registration Open March 1-31
