The Downtown Alliance supports a clean, safe and welcoming environment to ensure business success and a thriving Downtown.
The Alliance is taking on the following initiatives to accomplish this goal:
- Help City to facilitate Community Development Block Grant investments in physical improvements that help prevent crime and engender a perception of enhanced safety
- Locate and paint distressed properties through the Volunteers in Paint program
- Facilitate communication among Downtown stakeholders with the Alliance's Emergency Alerts Network
- Boost cleanliness of Downtown's sidewalks through the Alliance's pressure washing program
- Research clean and safe best practices employed in other downtowns across the nation and work to strategically implement new programs
