The Olympia Downtown Alliance is pleased to announce that they're bringing Music in the Park back to Olympia in July 2022! This popular outdoor, free concert series promises a season of quality music where the rhythms make your feet and soul dance while enjoying beautiful Sylvester Park and the scenic views from Port of Olympia's Port Plaza (for one concert). Forget your worries while enjoying free live music from local groups and regional acts. This highly acclaimed series brings some of the best northwest musical talent downtown.
In 2019, Olympia's beloved summertime concert series celebrated its 40th Anniversary. The Alliance had to cancel the event in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Alliance is bringing back the series this year but will move it to Sundays in July.
"We decided to move the event to Sundays based on feedback we received from community members—Sundays provide greater accessibility to more people and will allow our community to enjoy our small, locally owned businesses before or after the show!" said Todd Cutts, Olympia Downtown Alliance Executive Director.
Music in the Park attracts between 600 to several thousand attendees per show. On July 3, the concert will take place at the Port Plaza, but the remaining four performances will take place at Sylvester Park.
