City of Olympia Virtual Town Hall: Rental, Housing, Mortgage Relief and Resources

The meeting is part of a limited series for the public focused on the resources available to members of the community during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Olympia City Council will hold its fourth Virtual Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, April 29, at 4 p.m. The meeting is part of a limited series for the public focused on the resources available to members of the community during the coronavirus pandemic.

This final town hall, "Rental/Housing/Mortgage Relief and Resources," will be convened by the City Council’s Land Use and Environment Committee. The moderated panel includes Cary Retlin, City of Olympia Home Fund Manager; Jennifer Arnold, Vice President and Residential Lending Manager, Olympia Federal Savings; Kirsten York, Director of Family Services, Community Action Council of Lewis, Mason and Thurston Counties; and Craig Chance, Executive Director, Housing Authority of Thurston County.

Topics will cover:

  • Options for mortgage holders whose payments are impacted by COVID-19.
  • Options for renters whose payments are affected by COVID-19.
  • Options for Housing Authority renters and tenants whose incomes have been affected by COVID-19.
  • What the City of Olympia has been doing to support households whose incomes are impacted by this crisis.
