The first of many stay-at-home events, supporters of OFS can now rent the documentary using a custom Vimeo link, with a proceeds benefitting OFS. Director Louie Schwartzberg and world-renowned mycologist Paul Stamets will be live-streaming three different Q&A sessions on the Zoom video-conference service on March 26 at 1:00pm, 6:00pm, and 9:00pm, PST. Patrons are encouraged to register as soon as possible for their preferred time and get their questions in now.

Fantastic Fungi Day was initially scheduled to screen at the Capitol Theater, but with the theater’s temporary closure due to Covid-19 the event has been shifted to online. This will be the first of several online streaming events the film society is planning, with more events soon to be announced.

Rentals will last for 48 hours, starting immediately. Patrons to not need to be living in Olympia or Thurston county to join the conversation and help the Olympia Film Society.
