Traffic Alert: Legion Way Road Closure Scheduled

On Tuesday, May 12, the City's Contractor, Rognlin's, Inc., will close Legion Way from Capitol Way to Franklin Street

On Tuesday, May 12, the City's Contractor, Rognlin's, Inc., will close Legion Way from Capitol Way to Franklin Street. Closing the street is necessary so crews can begin grinding asphalt to prepare the street for paving.

Crews will be onsite from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and work should begin around 8:00 a.m. The road must be clear of vehicles for this work; no street parking is available between Capitol and Franklin on Tuesday. Vehicles parked on the street will be towed.

Detour signs will be posted. Please use caution traveling through the area and watch for flaggers. Pedestrians traveling through the area are asked to maintain proper social distancing and to not approach the construction crew or flaggers at the site.

Rognlin's is working in accordance with Governor Inslee's Executive Order and list of "Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers" under the Washington State Coronavirus Response (COVID-19).

Rognlin's and the City agree that the health and safety of the crew, City employees and our community are a top priority. Rognlin's has established practices to follow social distancing recommendations and guidelines.
